K-Hole

2010-2016

K-HOLE was a trend forecasting group based in New York, founded in 2010 and active through 2016. It was founded by Greg Fong, Sean Monahan, Emily Segal, Chris Sherron, and Dena Yago.

K-HOLE is most known for conceptualizing the 2014 trend "Normcore," in a trend report titled "Youth Mode: A Report on Freedom." Over the course of its existence, K-HOLE released 5 free PDF reports, which were downloaded globally by millions of individuals and organizations across art and commerce.

In addition to their writing, K-HOLE has spoken at insititions such as Serpentine Gallery, Walker Art Center, DLD: Munich, Art Basel: Miami Beach and CPH:DOX. They have also worked with clients and institutions including MTV, Coach, Kickstarter, the New Museum, MoMA PS1 and 032c.
